Read a Korean car's past before you buy it.

17-character VIN or Korean plate number. Either works.

73%

of cars inspected at Korean auctions in 2026 had past body repairs.A panel replaced or reworked with sheet metal, bumpers not counted. 72,120 cars at two auction houses.

Insurance history only shows repairs paid through a claim. So we check every record we can find.

Is the mileage real?

Korean records log a car's mileage in many places. We collect every dated reading, match it to the same car, and sort by the day it was recorded, so a reading lower than an earlier one stands out.

The odometer today should read at least the latest recorded mileage. A missing reading doesn't confirm or disprove the mileage.

Mileage at export

When a car leaves Korea, the government export record keeps its export date and its mileage. Buying a car that was exported years ago? Its last Korean mileage is still on file.

Repairs across records

Each record covers different things. On this car, insurance lists no claims for its own damage, while service records and an auction inspection list body work.
